 Neat! My only thought is that maybe the "tendrils" coming off the dark side should have been white, with a black outline. (Like the white part of the circle it.) Just for that whole "opposing sides" contrast.
Other than that, I rather like it. Nice job. yes maybe... but when i tried this passage i realized that the outline drawing was too heavy, instead i wanted to represent light lines, soft curves...
