Artist's Comments

One of the 4 submission about a workshop we had at my university, in which the Beisedorf brand Labello was supervising our works. The project included the design of a new packaging for a limited edition of this particular Labello product "Pearly Shine".

This is a serie of four limited edition concerning 4 different sticks of lip balm each tailored according to four different teenage life styles. The styles are represented with characterized pictograms and patterns.

Girls 4 Style has four styles identified through age and fashion interests. The target group is 12-19 year old female population.
The ‘Rock Chic’ theme identifies with Rock subculture.
The ‘Baby Chic’ is to identify a younger audience of a playful nature.
The Glam Girl identifies with a more sophisticated user interested in high-end fashion.
Last but not least, the ‘hot sweetie’ associates with a vintage classic style with a passion for her own fashion.

The communication for these styles are studied on the interests of each group and the results are transmitted to patterns, pictograms, slogans and evocative collages.

Parlo da totale ignorante di design, di packaging e di tutte quelle conoscenze che servirebbero per fare un lavoro del genere. I tipi diversi di prodotto evidenziati dalla fantasia della scatola e dalla donnina che vi appare è geniale...ma la faccina stilizzata che appare sul labello in sè non dovrebbe apparire anche sulla confezione da qualche parte?

in linea di massima sarebbe piu coerente in effetti, ma usando due linguaggi diversi, nella grafica del packaging e in quella dello stick, non possono essere mischiati a caso. in questo caso le faccine e le donnine dei collage sono collegate per uno stesso elemento caratterizzante che le accomuna, pur comparendo in due stili completamente diversi.
Infatti uno dei 4 layout è sbagliato... caccia al tesoro!

La tipa rock? In ogni caso...tanto di cappello. Che avessi i numeri si sapeva ma cavolo, qua ci so altro che numeri.
